Beauty products that got ditched this year!

Everyone knows that makeup trends come and go like the seasons; for a quick moment in time, spider lashes were all the rage. (Thank GOD that passed quickly) In another quick trend promoted on social media, everyone is shaving their eyebrows. The fads that kept the makeup industry fresh and exciting always include a wide variety of looks, some of them ten out of ten, others not so much.
CONTOUR STICKS.
They sat in my makeup bag for about a year after I tried them and didn’t like the feel of it on my skin or the harshness it created on my face. Bye Bye sticks, it was a huge NO from me.
SUPERDRUG MASCARA
Any of the Maybelline or Rimmel mascara’s you can find in Superdrug basically – essentially they all give me spider lashes and I am not here for it.
OVERDONE BLUSH
Is it just me or does it look like I’ve been whacked on the side of my face when over blushing? Maybe it was the wrong pink I don’t know, but pink blush is going in the bin and I am now using a more peachy coloured blush with orange undertones and not packing it on.
RED LIPS
It’s not often I do a red lip, when I do a lot of people say I should wear it more but, it’s too messy for me and actually causes me stress when I’m out having to keep checking it and making sure it’s not smudged or on my teeth. Why don’t I have this problem with nudes? I don’t know but my cortisol levels don’t need to go any higher unnecessarily so Ruby Woo be gone.
HIGHLIGHT EVERYWHERE
This one is pretty self explanatory, I used to love glowing from every angle but now I feel like it just makes me look like a sweaty mess. Toning it down is the way forward.
What products have you ditched this year and what have you replaced them with?

Currently looking for a product that will naturally enhance my brows and not give me the bold fake look, any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
Stay safe and take care,
