How can one simplify their life?

Do you need that abusive uncle in your life? No, you dont. Cut them out. Is that mean and controlling ex still a part of your life? Why? You dont need them. Cut them out. Do you still have the number of your drug dealer still in your phone? You dont need that in your life either. Delete their number.
Cut out toxic people from your life.
Seriously, it will make your life so much happier. And simpler!
I have found most people create many problems in their own life. Speaking when angry, speaking without thinking first, trying to solve problems one has no knowledge of.
By eliminating problems that are self created, life gets easier. By stopping the problems that one creates in one’s own life, by limiting the number of people one interacts with every day can help simplify life, sounds easy but it can take some time to master as old habits are always waiting to drag you back.

When the thoughts are simple the whole life becomes simple. My own experience was that when I finally understood the reason for saying a mantra or affirmation it started to work. One of my favourites is the Beatles classic “All you need is love” or “Love is all you need” it can be very useful in realising what one really wants in life.
Other mantra’s I use to keep grounded, happy and in line with what is to be ‘for me’ are:
- It will happen, all in good time, at the right time.
- I always win or learn, I never lose.
- What is meant for me, will surely find me.
The serenity prayer is also super helpful;
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
If you’ve ever had any experiences with recovery or addiction you’ll know the next addition to the prayer which can also be a great way to empower yourself and those around you;
“Keep coming back, it works if you work it, so work it your worth it”
And you definitely are, worth it!
Stay safe, remember you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain and please take care,
