Ice Skating: The Natural History Museum
5001 views
Since it’s getting dark at 4pm it’s totally accceptable to start christmas festivities right?!
I had the best day out ice skating for my brothers birthday, spending time with family, celebrating and making memories is really what grounds me and keeps my heart full!
Set against the backdrop of the Waterhouse building, the Ice Rink at the Natural History Museum is one of the most magical places to be this winter. Surrounded by beautiful museum buildings, twinkly lights and the beautiful Christmas carousel!
I am no pro-skater and I had a few anxiety inducing ‘omg am I going to fall’ moments, but, whether you can dance on ice or you skate more like Bambi, a visit to the Museum’s Ice Rink is a must this festive season.
My nieces and nephews really enjoyed themselves, bless our Lily-Rose she was a bit nervous and took her time, but with the help of the penguin aids and some good old family encouragement our girl got there in the end and was skating with the penguin on her own, confident on her skates! As you can probably tell our Scarlett has a brilliant mindset and can do whatever she puts her mind to so she was at ease on the ice, Alfie on the other hand has no fear whatsoever and gave me more panic than I’ve ever experienced in my life but hey, he enjoyed himself, we move!
Oh, don’t forget to have your photo taken at the selfie booth, equipped with self timer! #WINNING

After an incredible 16 years, this will be the final year of the Ice Rink at the Natural History Museum so book your skate session online here to guarantee your place or buy your tickets from the box office when you arrive.
Remember, you may have to wait for your turn on the ice if you haven’t booked your session in advance, especially during peak times.
