It seems like the world needs a little reminder recently.

The World Has Bigger Problems Than Boys Who Kiss Boys and Girls Who Kiss Girls. Seriously, get over yourself. People are starving, homeless, abandoned at birth, the list goes on and on but two people kissing bothers you and you’re getting MAD about it?

What you’re viewing when you see this is love, sexual attraction, happiness and freedom… Could this be a trigger to bringing your attention to the things you don’t have? Could it be your programming, born into an era that frowned upon same sex relationships that didn’t provide you with the emotional tools to adjust and accept a forever changing landscape of invisible rules of what is acceptable and what isn’t acceptable?

The world has bigger problems than boys who kiss boys and girls who kiss girls.

This slogan has become to the LGBT community what “Live Laugh Love” is for middle aged straight women, BUT, is it not a beautiful message?

There are so many bigger problems in this world that maybe deserve your attention just a tad more than a couple being intimate like;

  • Lack of economic opportunity and unemployment… A recurring problem, but even more so now since lockdown, some have thrived launching online businesses but what about those that have spent the past 15 years working 9-5s with no online awareness and post pictures of their grandkids to instagram once a year? Pretty sure those people could benefit from some positive attention and guidance.
  • Government accountability and transparency / corruption – HUGE PROBLEM – (These are the people that programmed you to think same sex relationships were wrong, but are now telling you it is ok – purposely to confuse you and make sure you stay in your tax bracket and social class)
  • Religious conflicts – division, a well known tactic to conquer, can we look past who is the actual ‘God’ and seek spirituality to know that there is a higher power and that we are all in fact, connected regardless of religious opinion and how devoted one is?
  • Inequality (income, discrimination) – Mainly women, still, in big 2021. The male CEO is still sitting on his high horse dictating a woman’s worth and value to a company without even witnessing it.
  • Large scale conflict / wars – These would cease to exist if we all turned off BBC news and said bring our soldiers home. The government are still deploying soldiers for mass entertainment for members of the g4 summit and world leaders… (Ok, that’s not fact, it’s opinion and a valid thought, even squid game highlighted what the rich do for fun and entertainment…)
  • When will women be safe? – YOUNG GIRLS ARE BEING STABBED WITH INJECTIONS CONTAINING DATE RAPE DRUGS IN NIGHT CLUBS. HELLO?!

Coming out can be a very difficult process. Our society strongly enforces codes of behaviour regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, and most people receive the message that they must be heterosexual and act according to society’s definition of their gender. For gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons, there may be a sense of being different or of not fitting in to the roles expected by family, friends, workplace or greater society. Coming out involves facing societal responses and attitudes toward LGBTQ people. It may leave a person feeling ashamed, isolated, and afraid.

Although coming out can be difficult, it can also be a very liberating and a freeing process. So if that is where someone is at and they are kissing the person they love in public, GET OVER YOURSELF YOU FIRST CLASS BELLEND!

Stay safe, mind yo business and take care,

Sammi xx
