Mac Lustre Lipstick – ‘See Sheer’ Review

To celebrate being out and about together again, MAC gave away 20,000 lipsticks yesterday! The whole of England had the opportunity to choose from MAC’s Lustre Lipstick in shades Lady Bug (a glam glossy red) or See Sheer (the perfect pinkish nude).

Did you get your full size ‘See Sheer’ or ‘Lady Bug’ lipstick from @maccosmetics ?!

I tried out See Sheer today – Leave your details on the home page so you don’t miss my next review of the glam shade ‘Lady Bug’ on National Lipstick Day!

I am a big fan of the MAC lipsticks and liners, I generally stick to the ‘Stripdown‘ liner and the popular matte ‘Velvet Teddy’

We all have our signature go to lip look right?

So with MAC’s latest incentive to get a free Lustre lipstick (that i’d never tried) it was only right I went to get mine and let you all know my in depth thoughts and feelings 🙂

Mac Lustre Lipstick - My 'See Sheer' Review

I enjoy that the Lustre lipstick is soft and comfortable to wear, and I like the glossy finish. I feel like it’s an easy everyday wear especially if you like a bit of colour on your lips. There’s a silky glide I get when puckering my lips together and it feels quite hydrating. I think it is safe to say this is the best hydrating lipstick I have ever used.

See Sheer is a gorgeous shade of warm coral, which leans to a more pinkish coral on my NC20 skin. It is somewhat sheer, but does require more application throughout the day to keep the full sheen.

This lipstick brightens up my lips without being too intense of a colour pop, It also makes my teeth appear whiter. It wears quite well, and lasts through light drinking and eating. It wears for around 4 hours on me before fading. The colour is buildable, and though the wear time isn’t as great it does fade gracefully with no weird ring around the lips.

I really like the cute lip look this lipstick gives me, I definitely think this shade can flatter many skin tones, although I do think it would look best on skin with warm undertones. This is definitely one of my favourite pink MAC lipstick shades. Not too bright, not neon and not too light!

If you haven’t already sent me a dm on Instagram, leave a comment and let me know what shade you got? 🙂

Stay safe, line that lip & take care,

Sammi xx
