JOE BLACK MARKS RETURN WITH COLD ‘VOICE OF THE STREETS’ FREESTYLE

King of underground Rap and Islington youth pioneer Joe Black has jumped back into the game after a while out, with a new Voice of the Streets freestyle with Kenny Allstar on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

With a musical journey spanning back to his pre-teens, DJ, producer and broadcaster Kenny Allstar has been honing his craft for some time now.

Influenced by the likes of Grime don Logan Sama and 1Xtra’s own MistaJam, the south Londoner previously hosted the highest rated show on youth station Reprezent Radio as well as becoming the official DJ for Sneakbo.

He’s no stranger to the 1Xtra airwaves and counts several Xtra Talent dancehall takeovers, a Sixty Minutes residency and various Club Sloth mixes. When it comes to all things homegrown and dancehall – Kenny is your guy.

After what seems like a lifetime, Joe himself admits it’s time to shake off the cobwebs and the MC jumps on a subtle beat as he brings the listeners in with a real storytelling vibe on the freestyle. It doesn’t take Kenny long to wheel the bars up either, as it seems Joe Black is back like he never left.

Reeling in Joe Black rap fans across London, Kenny Allstar takes us back with Meek Mills ‘Cold Hearted’ instrumental telling viewers and listeners that they need to understand the substance and open their ears!

Here at grimelight.blog we agree!
