LAUGHTA UNLEASHES HER POWERFUL NEW TRACK
Full of energy and passion, her personality and sound is already attracting the masses, so what better time to get to know the lady behind the ferocious lyrics?
A bit about Laughta;
Her beginnings found her born and bred in Nigeria to well off Lebanese parents, where she came from a well placed and very fortunate background. Aged 7 years old after flying to England for what she thought was a holiday, her hedonistic upbringing was soon short lived. From majestic grounding to conflicting habitual surroundings, this artist was relegated to a bed and breakfast, later on moving into a council home with her family in North London where she spent the remainder of her childhood and adolescence submerged in the cultural aspects of her community. The birth of Grime was still a relatively new genre and she found herself encompassed by the ever evolving scene. With 8 years of musical graft behind her, the unsuspecting creative absorbed her environment resulting in her becoming today one of the U.K’s leading female Grime Mc’s.
Laughta’s Latest track titled ‘F-BOYS’ was produced by LMomrelle. With such a creative and empowering video, the rapper shows that no man can stand in her way. Encouraging women to love themselves and put themselves first, don’t confuse LOVE with what the F-BOYS offer you.
The video has done so well and has had the likes of Skepta and more praising the track. Laughta did a campaign where several familiar faces posted the banners around London that said ‘F Boys‘, the banners also included a helpline!
The song showcases laughta’s gritty lyrics and her boss-like personality.
Having sold out her headline show at the Camden Assembly last year in collaboration with War Child UK, and performances in New York, Tunisia, Norway, Vienna, Scotland, Belfast and Paris, it looks like this year is predicted to be an even bigger year for the Nigeria and Lebanese descent. The rapper’s multi-cultural background also paints her unique style and its time for the world to take notice!
